It’s back to work day and very little work has been done. It’s due tomorrow, just before I meet a friend’s mother for lunch, so I had best get on with it.
I arranged the delivery of packing boxes for tomorrow. Tomorrow I’ll also tell the cleaner that we are leaving. Then, I think, the feeling of a phase of life ending will truly begin.
I’m glad that the election is before we leave. The streets are full of party flags, most of them the Barisan’s blue and white scales, though Terengganu, a battleground state, was full of PAS’s green with white full moon. Generally, Malaysia has a very high calibre of party flags. Pakistan by contrast is pitiful; all are striped and/or have a crescent moon.
